About 147 years ago, Nestle was established in Indonesia, precisely in 1873. To date, Nestle has 3,700 employees, selling more than 20 brands and thousands of SKUs. Nestle has 3 factories in Indonesia that produce Nescafe, Bearbrand, and Milo. Marketing teams are spread across nine cities, with distribution from three distribution centers (DC), located in West Java, East Java, and Sumatra. Freighthub has been in partnership with Nestle since 2018, starting from the marketplace and reaching a certain level where Nestle appointed Freighthub as a strategic partner in the digital transformation of its logistics division. Freighthub’s technology can monitor shipments from origin to destination, including post-delivery activities.
Challenge
Having four distribution centers (DC), three factories, and 10 packers. More than 5,500 truck drivers and 6,085 registered transporters. Therefore, there is a need for technology to manage efficiency and minimize errors. Still using manual orders, such as telephone and text messages. There is no monitoring of truck locations, and Proof of Delivery (POD) is not in a digital system, resulting in a lack of transparency during delivery and the potential for errors and even fraud.
